SUPPORT TO LOCAL POTTERY INDUSTRY provided a much wanted boost to the otherwise declining industry of pottery in India with the advent of stainless steel and plastic utensils.
The manufacturing of Ayurvedic preparation includes the use of earthen crucibles and pans; which helps in uniform spread of heating and also safeguarding the properties of the medicines under process, from undue influence of new chemicals.
Earthen pots being inert in nature do not affect the medicines within, even at high temperatures and its efficacy has been stated in the Ayurvedic texts.
