Chronic Kidney Disease

- DIAGNOSIS : End Stage Renal Disease
- CO-MORBIDITIES : DM type2, Hypertension
- OUTCOME OF PREVIOUS TREATMENT : Patient was critical when the family approached clinic, hospitalised for pneumonia and on recurrent haemodialysis since hospitalisation
- OUTCOME OF PREVIOUS TREATMENTS : The general condition of patient was slowly deteriorating, with multi organ failure, on CVP line, urine retention and ATN with hypoperfusion, cardiogenic shock with septic shock with bilateral ARDS.
- OPINION OF PHYSICIAN : feeble chances of survival. Haemodialysis till the patient survives, QOL will be not good as total anuria was there.
Rasayan In Use :
TREATMENT PROTOCOL : In the beginning [ since it was a high-risk patient], focus on Q.O.L. for first six months was done and later change according to her condition was to be planned, since the patient responded very well to the medicines, no change was made in the treatment, is on the tapering doses now.
The haemodialysis was reduced to once a week in 6 months, her G.C.
17-09-2019 :
1. Heerak Rasayana = 1 cap with honey empty stomach.
2. Chandrapraba + Gokshuradiguggul + Aarogyavardini + Praval Panchamrit + Gokshur + Ashwagandha.
3. Panchmukta Rasyana = 1cap with honey at night before sleep.
4. Tejonidhi Rasayana = 1cap with honey at night before sleep.
5. Salt in food was restricted and Lavanya [ Saindhav Lavan] was given to use in the food with limiting upto 5gms/ 24 hrs.
6. Ayukshaar = A water alkaliser was given to use with drinking water. The line of treatment has continued since then and no haemodialysis was required since October 2020.

Significance : A critical patient with multiple organ failure, was not only her QOL was worked on, Haemodialysis totally stopped since 20/2/2020, within a span of 6 months.
